Ella's first photo shoot by janI love shooting the babies of our or brides! We shot Sarah & Aaron’s wedding 2 short years ago and now, the honeymoon is over… Time for poopie diapers, sleepless nights and years of selfless love that will keep their marriage strong and make their hearts grow x10. Ella is a beautiful little girl who brings a special light into the room! So happy for you both:)
First Sunday Fundraiser by janThis sunday (sorry for the short notice) is “Families Helping Families” fundraiser day. Every first Sunday, Photomementos will be doing 30 minute family or kids sessions outside at the Nelson or across the street in our studio for $300 including a disc of about 20 hi-res images with print rights. 100% of this money will go to a different family each month to help with medical expenses. This month the money raised will go to the First State Bank of Joplin Tornado Relief Fund. Fathers day is June 19th! What better a present than great photos of the kids!!
Paula & Casey's engagement shoot by janThese 2 were in town from Houston and the rain stayed away long enough to get some great shots. They both went to KSU but didn’t meet until they were living in different cities and came back to Kansas City to promote their Alma Mater. They had a long distance relationship for a while but made some changes and now are settled in Houston and anxious for their August wedding. We are excited too!!
Rachel & Mike’s wedding at the Hobbs Building in the West Bottoms by janRachel looked and felt beautiful on her wedding day…she kept saying “I can’t believe how pretty I am!” Her dress, her hair, her makeup (Deanna Valizan) – gorgeous!! She was surrounded by hot bridesmaids dressed in brown with magenta shoes.(the guys in black leather sneakers!) Tears started flowing when they saw each other before the ceremony. I think Rachel knew that her mom was looking in on her, this day. With their dog, Wiley at their side, they said their beautifully, self-written vows in the courtyard of the Hobbs building. Mike was pretty emotional and could barely speak but he made it through. I had a few tears going on behind my lens! Food by Feasts of Fancy was spectacular as always and their cake, by Classic Cakes, was timeless & elegant. Love this cake!! Soiree Event Designs transformed the room with soft pinks and browns – it was lovely and the bride was very happy! The candy table was incredible and all the guests really enjoyed the party-pics and the live music by Michael Beers Band. It was a well done affair and a perfect day in every way! Here’s the link for the partypics!

Shelly & Ryan's St. Mark's wedding and reception at the Rhapsody by janShelly & Ryan had perfect weather for their yellow & blue wedding day. The flowers by Fresh Fleur were perfect and the cupcakes by Cami Cakes came in 7 flavors. They both looked so cute even with frosting all over their faces! Love was in the air during the reception when “someone like you” by Van Morrison played…everyone was smooching and hugging on the dancefloor! This kind of love is contagious!! Family & friends all enjoyed the Photobooth…check out the slideshow here.
Mistie & Creighton’s wedding day at Arts Incubator in kansas city by janWhat a beautiful couple and wedding party all dressed in brown and pink! They saw each other earlier in the day…she was downstairs in the old wood elevator…he was upstairs shouting down to her…”babe, what are you doin’ today?” “oh, nothin’” “you want to get married” “ok”! Such a cute moment. They deserved a perfect weather day! They camped out to get their “Rose Garden Wedding” and it was well worth it…gorgeous day and ceremony. Beautiful flowers by Erica Smail Delish food at the reception by Cupini’s . We just love shooting at the Arts Incubator…the ceiling lights are so fun and they transformed the space beautifully! The big windows were lined with wine bottles that the two have shared over the last 5 years – can you believe that! They met in the cashew …she came up to him and told him how much she loved his watch (twice). The conversation never stopped and this watch is a very good reminder of a perfectly timed meeting. Well done you two and congrats on getting hitched. Here’s some pics to keep you happy till thursday when you come to see them all! Don’t forget to check out the images from the PHOTO BOOTH!!
